Gateway Santa Ride 2014
On Sunday 21st December the, now annual, Gateway Santa Ride took place. This year’s charity, nominated by a club member, was Little Havens Hospice. Club members raised, through sponsorship and donations, £600. National Grid will donate an additional £400, making a grand total of £1000! Well done Gateway and thank you National Grid! Gateway Christmas and New Year’s Day Rides

2015 Membership Fees
Hello all Just a reminder that membership fees for 2015 will be due on 1st January, although these can be paid at any time from today. The constitution states that membership fees must be paid by the 10th April 2015 club meeting otherwise the membership becomes lapsed, although this in no way precludes later re-joining of the club. Gateway Xmas Awards Night 2014 – The Winners
Friday 12th December saw Gateway Cycling’s Christmas Award Night, under the capable stewardship of Chairman Gary, go off without a hitch. A good many members were present to partake of the food, drink and festivities including seven of our younger members who busily entertained themselves with the activities laid on. The Christmas raffle, held in aid of Macmillan, went down extremely well with many going home with some some great prizes – donated by Decathlon, Simon Alexander and our generous club members. We raised over £120 for this worthy cause. The Awards It’s been another great year for participation in our club events. Gateway Winter Time Trial Series 2014/15 – Event 2
Well on this very cold December morning 8 brave riders lined up on the start line, although cold we did have a calm dry morning. We had 3 riders that had not set a target time yet this season. This brings the season so far total to 19 riders already and its only the second event!! Children’s Christmas Ride ‘n Walk
Join us on Saturday 6th December for a Gateway family event at Coalhouse Fort in East Tilbury. Meet at 10am by the gate to the fort for a ride or walk around the fort followed by a play in the park. Gateway Xmas Awards Night – Friday 12th Dec 2014
Please join us on Friday 12th December for our Annual Gateway Xmas Awards Night Club members and their families are invited to celebrate and award the successes of our club members. There will be a buffet, mince pies, sweets, teas and coffees. Please bring your own alcoholic drinks, Soft drinks for the kids will be supplied. 2014 Hill Climb
Wet and showery, a bit windy, and a grey sky, not ideal conditions for cycling in but 18 riders (and 1 spectator) turned out for the hill climb yesterday!
