SUNDAY ‘BROXBOURNE’ RIDE. 26.2.2023 by Jon Lane
To Broxbourne by train, taking us to a pleasant place from which to ride – cutting out the schlep – with Dave, Sharon, Tracy, Les and Jeff. Quite a few walkers and a few … Read entire article »

Saturday 11th Canal Ride by Jon Lane
The Saturday 11th Canal Ride went pretty well… Dave, Tracy, Danny and me set off from Grays to Limehouse, meeting up with Terry, cycled through the real ‘East End’ to Whitechapel tube. The modest entrance, with outside the thriving market stalls, leads up the steps in to the Tardis like cavernous station. Seven levels down! We took the smart Elizabeth Line to Hayes and Harlington. Setting off along the Canal path Danny picked up a … Read entire article »

Saturday Ride by Bob Drake
Just in from short slow ride down to the London Gateway Logistics Park. You may think that’s a strange place to go for a bike ride but it has its advantages. For a start it has the best cycle paths by far in the area and the traffic at weekends is very light and cycling is safe. For anyone interested in industry the size and scope of this place is enormous. But for me it’s … Read entire article »

Gateway New Year’s Day Ride by Jon Lane
Twelve of us out on the NY Day ride, most of us leaving at a steady pace from Blackshots. Tracey was the star on her ‘trike’ along with her ‘pit stop man’, Terry. Most stuck to the top road past Lakeside and onward, ably led by Dave F. At Purfleet, Tank Hill Road, Alan caught a flat so we all stopped – chat and banter, fixed and on our way. At the café, some took … Read entire article »
