CANAL SIDE RIDE – SATURDAY 11th FEBRUARY 2023 – MEET AT GRAYS STATION 08.50… by Jon Lane

Dear All…

I’m planning a canal side ride this Saturday 11^th February 2023, meet at Grays station 08.50 … taking the 09.08 train. Travel to Limehouse, a bike ride of one mile, to the refurbished Whitechapel station. Picking up the new Elizabeth Line taking us straight to Hayes and Harlington station – also refurbished. On to the Regents Canal back towards London. On route, a good waterside ‘Lebanese’ coffee shop stop… Several choices of places to eat in town and also several good routes to take us homeward…

A few of us have done this slightly unusual and interesting ride before and very much enjoyed it – but not used the Elizabeth Line connection, so a new experience – It’s all flat with decent, mostly hard surfaces. A nice steady pace, with the breeze behind us, but it may be nippy… so warm socks and gloves. Hope you can make it… Give yourself time to get to the station!
