Gateway Winter Events 2017

Please put the following dates in your diary and join Gateway Cycling for some Winter fun: Sunday 12th November Gateway Hill Climb Start from the bottom of Childerditch Lane at 09:45. Normal club ride to start from the car park once complete. There will be a group of us riding to the start from Bulphan at 09:30 or you can meet us at the start. On Sunday 24th September we had our family ride from Davy Down to Belhus Woods. The weather was absolutely perfect and the turnout was fantastic. On 20th August there will be a club ride to the Blue Egg This ride will be suitable for the Intermediate and Advanced groups and will be at a steady pace of 15-16mph. Club Welfare Officer

Gateway Cycling still need someone to volunteer to be our Club Welfare Officer. The role is to promote the club/organisation’s policy and procedures for the protection of children and vulnerable adults. Over the last year the club’s junior membership has grown and this growth is expected to continue, especially as we now coach young people. Even without BC making a CWO mandatory it is still necessary for us to have someone in this role. If you want to be part of this club’s growth and continued success and this is a role you would be interested then please contact myself or the club secretary, or come talk to one of us at the next club night. Women’s Ride – 14 May 2017

Our second women’s ride will be out to Hyde Hall, which is a distance of approximately 37 miles, Bulphan to Bulphan.  This will be a steady ride and no one will be left behind.  There will be a cafe stop!
