Gateway Family Rides to Rainham Marshes RSPB and Thameside Nature Park

We have a couple of family friendly recreation rides coming up which you may be interested in.

Blackshots to Rainham RSPB
Sunday, 11th June

Meet up at the steps of the swimming pool of Blackshots Leisure Centre, at 9:15am to start at 9.30am for a  flat traffic free route along dedicated cycle tracks and the paths through the Davy Down Country Park to Rainham Marshes in Purfleet. We will have a break at the visitor centre before returning to Grays.

Hardie Park to Thameside Nature Park
Saturday, 17th June

Meet up for at the cafe in Hardie Park in Stanford-le-Hope on Saturday, June 17th for a 2pm start for a ride on quiet roads and cycle tracks to the Thameside Nature Park in Mucking. We will stop at the visitors centre for a short while before returning to Hardie Park.

 

These rides will be suitable for new riders, families or those who enjoy a slower paced shorter ride.

Please make yourself known to the ride leader, Dave, when you arrive.

Ensure your bike is roadworthy and that you have a pump, puncture repair kit and a spare inner tube. We also recommend that you bring a drink, some cash for refreshments and a mobile phone. The club recommends that all riders wear a helmet.

Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
