Club Run Photo

A few weeks ago our club run went up Toot Hill and there was a photographer there taking pictures of the Hainault CC hilly time trial. His name is Davey Jones, and he has contacted us and very kindly given us a copy of the file to use as we wish. The picture in this article has been made smaller for use on the website, the original is much larger and should print out nicely. If … Read entire article »

Beginners Ride – 1 March – Ride Report

We met at Blackshots (Bob D and Jon Lane were there to see us off) and had a steady ride out to Puddledock Café for breakfast, before returning via Thames Chase/Fen Lane. The wind was very blustery in places but at least the sun was out and was quite warm if you could get out of the wind. Well done to John, Sharon, Matt, Burt and Frances B. for a great effort today. I hope … Read entire article »

Cancelled – Club Member First Aid Training

Cancelled – Club Member First Aid Training

Unfortunately we didn’t reach the numbers that would have made running this particular course cost effective.  We’ll look into this and see what alternative we can offer in the future. If you attended the AGM you will know that we will soon have our first club members attending British Cycling coaching courses. A prerequisite for this course is an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. Instead of only first aid training these coaches we would like … Read entire article »

Saturday (21st Feb) Leisure Ride

Saturday (21st Feb) Leisure Ride

This Saturday 21st February 2015, (a bit ‘last minute’ I’m afraid!) I’m planning to ride the tow path of Regents Canal. I’ll be taking the 09.48, train from Grays rail station, it’s platform 3. (The side where the taxis queue…) to Limehouse, arriving 10.14, and from there pick up the canal and do a circular route, back to Fenchurch Street. It’s about 16 mile’s, taking in the sights … if I’m feeling energetic I may … Read entire article »
