Thx Jon for another great ride. Dave came to say hello and wave us off. We headed towards the general direction of the Tilbury Ferry, joining the river front at the World’s End pub. With the Thames on our right we pretty much stayed on this picturesque route, with blue skies above, to Coalhouse Fort. The weather was excellent and the company too.  The 5 intrepid committee members set off from the Civic Hall at about the specified time. The route out to the RSPB was one that we have used many times before. The way through the Mardyke Woods was thankfully dry – but a bit dusty.
