We are planning a short ride to Kent tomorrow, Saturday 25th June 2022, taking the 10.00 am Tilbury Ferry to Gravesend. The route is out of Gravesend towards Sole Street, Cobham and a coffee at Shorne Country Park. On to Higham and Cliffe Café for food, nosh, nose bag… The fairly quick-ish ride back to Gravesend and hopefully an ice cream on the Promenade, and the ferry homeward.. All welcome. An excellent turn out by Gateway and the inhabitants of Thurrock and surrounding areas to take part in the first TCM charity ride in several years. The weather was excellent and the company too.  The 5 intrepid committee members set off from the Civic Hall at about the specified time. The route out to the RSPB was one that we have used many times before. The way through the Mardyke Woods was thankfully dry – but a bit dusty. 0900 for start time of 09:30 Location: Thurrock Civic Hall, Grays The Rotary Club of Mar Dyke Valley are organising the Thurrock Cycle Marathon from Thurrock Civic Hall in Blackshots Lane starting 9.30 on Sunday 12th June.
