Sunday 9th October Recreation Ride

A few lines from Sunday…

Yet another super Recreation Ride yesterday, Sunday 9.10.22, led by Dave F.

Nine set off from Bulphan to Harrow Lodge Park Hornchurch – destination Lake View Palace cafe – through the back lanes at his usual steady pace, weather absolutely fine… I managed to catch the group entering the winding path to the Lakeside. Good eating and conversation. Flocking fowl and families in sun and shade… Great! Onwards, again, Dave with his local knowledge leading us through Ingrebourne Valley Country Park, passing the Spitfire Cafe, dodging dogs… to Rainham village. Here Vic, Bob, Les, Mark (Taff) and Alan departed, most near to home… The rest, Dave, Sharon, Hanh, Andy and me along and over New Road to Upminster Road South, and the well ridden route towards ‘Stubbers’ and the sweeping ‘lumpy’ Dennises Lane to Ockendon – more or less going our separate ways here – homeward.
