Sunday Recreation Ride to London 18th September

Train to Barking. Cycled to Yurt Cafe for brunch. Cycled to Parliament Square to soak up the atmosphere. People everywhere including bedding down in tents and bus shelters along the route ready for tomorrow. Road signs refer to expected disruption tomorrow due to ‘major event’. We crossed the Thames at Westminster Bridge then headed to Southwark park to see the start of the queues, although we passed various sections of the queue enroute. Continued to Woolwich where we caught the Uber water taxi to Barking Riverside. Then the new train line, one stop to Barking and C2C back to Grays from there. Lots of tired faces on train relating to people who’d been to see the Queen.
A great day Dave.
Many thx for making it happen.
