Midweek Ride 16th Oct

Forecast for today was damp start then gradually improving during the morning with the odd light shower, and thats what we got. Vic D,Peter C,Phil B,Chris M and myself set off at a brisk pace for Puddledock via  the Berwich Ponds loop arriving safely and with no incidents apart from usual bits of inconsiderate driving by a few drivers but thats par for the course these days and is not unexpected. Alan H and Bert H not related were already at cafe,Alan having mountain biked from Purfleet through the parks and Bert having taken the car.Whilst dining we were joined by John L by bike and Noel E by car.Usual chat much about world cup rugby from Chris who  has just got home from Japan.Setting off for home the original five picked up John K who was cruising around on his mountain bike and the six of us enjoyed a wind assisted pacey ride back to Orsett..Hopefully the weather might just about be OK for Marks social ride on this coming saturday..
