Charity Ride in aid of Prostate Cancer

Saturday 28th September saw a windy and slightly chilly day with 22 riders gathering at Bulphan School for the first Gateway Charity Ride. Dave Fish led 3 recreational riders, a group of 8 riders took to the roads around Berwick Ponds for a leisurely cycle and the Fast Group dashed off to Blackmore. Everyone met at Damyns Aerodrome Café for Bacon Baguettes and Sausage Muffins all washed down with Tea & Coffee. We were met at the café by Bob Drake looking as fit as ever, soon be back on his bike we hope? The weather stayed kind to us all day and we raised £130 on the day. This amount will be matched by the club and all monies donated to Prostate Cancer UK. All in all a great first charity event. Keep a look out for the next one!<
