For the fourth year running we will be using Childerditch Lane again for our hill climb, it will start at 10:00 at the bottom of Childerditch Lane on the north (Brentwood) side of the A127, and is for club members only. Beginners Ride – Sunday 20th March

This Sunday, 20th March, we’ll be running another easy paced ride. This ride will be suitable for new riders, families, or those that want to enjoy a slower paced, shorter ride. It is open to members and non-members. We’ll meet from 08:15am at Blackshots Sports Centre and will start the ride at 08:30am. The meeting place is on the walkway just outside the entrance to the sports centre. Make sure you make your self known to the Ride Leader when you arrive. The route will be on road and will take us through Orsett and down to Bulphan where we will meet the other club members who will be meeting at Bulphan C of E Primary School for the start of the longer club runs. Saturday’s time trial was certainly sponsored by rain…. (The canopy on my van was certainly my best asset today) A pretty horrid day for it but yet 5 plucky people turned up ready to set the first time of the season. All got round safe. Two new faces turned up and they seemed to be keen to have another go in a months time!! Sunday Easy Rides

Gateway Cycling are committed to providing rides for all types of riders, and as such will now be running regular ‘easy’ rides. These rides will start on Sunday 24/05/15, and will run every Sunday. These rides are aimed at riders who are not completely new to cycling (for those who are new to cycling we run a monthly ‘beginners’ ride), but may be new to club cycling. This ride is not limited to prospective new members, members of Gateway Cycling can join in as well if they wish.
