Saturday ride to Canvey Island by Jon Lane

Extract from the original email posting and itinerary of the ride:

A last minute ride to Canvey Island – have been v’ busy… but plan to hop on the train to Benfleet tomorrow, Saturday 8.4.2023, taking the 09.30 from Grays station.

Ride around the Island to the south side for coffee and eats, very pleasant here folks… then for me back home on the train again.

It’s a flat easy ride, bumpy in places, hybrid, MTB, gravel or a robust road bike will be ok. The weather looks pretty sunny with no breeze…

The train arrives at Benfleet just before 10.00, so if you want to ride or drive there we could meet at the station ticket office, (south side) between 10 and 10.15… There’s a very large council type car park on the north side, it used to be free at week ends etc… but now it’s about £2-3 to park…
