LONDON RECREATION 5 10 19 CATCH UP…

The snapshot here says it all… In the fine cycling weather we drifted down to Woolwich and took a leisurely trip on the shiny new ferry boat across the Thames. We turned right upstream taking the dedicated foot and cycle route the ‘Thames Path’ which encouraging walkers and riders with removing hazards/obstructions and provides good surfaces and wide waterside views. First stop was at the new and very pleasant Thames Barrier cafe for a quick tea and snack. https://openhouselondon.open-city.org.uk/listings/3304 – Onward through the ultra modern ‘O2 dome’ developments followed by historic Greenwich, the twin towers of the Old RN college, the Cutty Sark and more… A zig zag route eventually to Tower Bridge and over to Fenchurch Street. Lee H, Tracy A and Alan A needed to return home early, me and Sharon P went onward – through the City… picking up the Regents Canal and homeward… A great leisure day ride – which we suggest every Club member should try at least one a year… Happy cycling and Cheers! to All Jon L.
