Gateway Summer TT Week 12

The Gateway time trial is now nearing the end of the season, and with that comes the Summer harvest. The farmers tractors were charging up and down the lanes to get the harvest in and some riders had a few hold ups, three had to be held on the start line due to a combine harvester working it’s way up Dunnings lane, and a couple had to halt to let tractors past.

Eight riders took part this evening, Jon, one of our ‘more experienced’ riders was coerced into taking part and put in a big effort that had everyone smiling. Of the rest only Dave H recorded his best time, Chris, Paul E, Kev, and Mihai rode well but didn’t get close to their best times with most of them held up by the farm traffic. This round of the battle of the fast guys was won by Matt, with Paul T close behind, and again both were affected by the farmers. Well done to all of the riders tonight as the conditions were difficult, hopefully the work in the fields will be completed before next week!
