Family Ride to Rainham Marshes – Sunday 24th April

Gateway Cycling is organising this family friendly easy ride starting from Blackshots to the Purfleet – RSPB centre. It’s a distance of about twelve miles there and back. All are welcome; it will be a flat traffic free route along dedicated cycle tracks and the paths through the Davy Down Country Park. There will be an experienced ride leader at both the front and rear; no one will be left behind…

The pace will be where you can pedal and chat at the same time

We ask that your bike is ‘roadworthy’, strongly suggest you wear a cycle safety helmet and bring with you a puncture repair kit and pump and ideally a spare inner tube. (Your local Thurrock cycle shops will help and advise you with these). Wear suitable clothing and bring a drink and a snack.

Meet up at the steps of the swimming pool of Blackshots Leisure Centre, at 9:15am to start at 9.30.

When you arrive please make yourself known to the ride leaders – Dave and Jon – so we know who is coming along

Riders under 18 years must be accompanied by mum and / or dad or guardian…

The sun will shine and the birds will sing …

If you have any questions please email the Recreation Secretary, Jon -recreation_secretary@gatewaycycling.org.uk
