Gateway Recreation Ride: Upminster Park

Setting off at around 11.00am from the car park at the RSPB centre in Purfleet we will ride through Rainhan and into the Ingreebourne Valley.Travelling along the off road cycle road we will pass through Hornchurch Country Park  into Upminster where we will have a short break at one of the cafes along Corbets Tey Road.

The journey will continue through Sunnings Lane to South Ockendon. We will return to the RSPB car park via the Mardyke.

The distance is about 20miles and suitable for riders with hybrids and mtbs. As usual with these rides the pace will be around 8 – 10mph.

Your bike must be roadworthy. You should also have a pump, puncture repair kit and a spare inner tube. We also recommend that you bring a drink.

There are no age restrictions for this event but we would suggest that this ride is suitable for aged 14+.
Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
