Gateway Family Rides to Rainham Marshes RSPB and Thameside Nature Park
We have a couple of family friendly recreation rides coming up which you may be interested in. Summer TT series 2017
The Summer TT series has now started and will run every Wednesday evening through the summer. Sign on is at 6:45 with the first rider setting off at 7pm. Club Welfare Officer
Gateway Cycling still need someone to volunteer to be our Club Welfare Officer. The role is to promote the club/organisation’s policy and procedures for the protection of children and vulnerable adults. Over the last year the club’s junior membership has grown and this growth is expected to continue, especially as we now coach young people. Even without BC making a CWO mandatory it is still necessary for us to have someone in this role. If you want to be part of this club’s growth and continued success and this is a role you would be interested then please contact myself or the club secretary, or come talk to one of us at the next club night. Gateway Easter Monday Family Ride
On Easter Monday April 17th we will be running an easy paced ride to the RSPB in Purfleet. This ride will be suitable for new riders, families, or those that want to enjoy a slower paced, shorter ride. It is open to members and non-members. Women’s Ride – 14 May 2017
Our second women’s ride will be out to Hyde Hall, which is a distance of approximately 37 miles, Bulphan to Bulphan. This will be a steady ride and no one will be left behind. There will be a cafe stop! Meet at Bulphan School car park at 8.45 for a 9.00am depart. Make sure your bike is roadworthy, bring along a pump and spare tubes, a drink and energy bars/gels and some cash for coffee/tea/cake. Please wear a helmet. Any questions, just ask. Women’s Ride – 9 April 2017
Our first women’s ride will be on Sunday 9 April 2017 led by Frances. This will be a steady paced ride (13-14mph average) of approx 36 miles (Bulphan to Bulphan). There will be a cafe stop! Sunday Club rides
As we are now in Spring, club rides will start at 9am. Please aim to arrive in Bulphan for 8:45. There will usually be three or four groups. Leisure 20 to 30 miles @ 10 to 12mph Intermediate 30 to 40 miles @ 14 to 16mph Advanced 50 miles plus @ 16 to 18mph If any group is more than ten it may split up to avoid blocking up the road.
