A Christmas Message from the Chairman

It has been another cracking year for British cycling – two Tours de France in a row are enough to stir excitement and patriotism in the hearts of even the least competitive and most ardently recreational cyclists. The journey was mainly off road along cycle paths and trails, through Chafford Hundred , then over to Watts Wood, into Purfleet and along the path that goes through the RSPB site. Had the cafe been open I’d have … Read entire article »

Recreation Ride to Kent 25th May 2013

Recreation Ride to Kent 25th May 2013

The weather was breezy but otherwise quite mild as we met up on the landing at Tilbury for the short crossing over to Gravesend. The first part of the journey was quite flat but the hills started after Lower Higham. We had a short stop at Upnor Castle with its views over the River Medway.
