Poppy Charity Ride – Rememberance Sunday

For One Sunday Only… Poppy Charity Ride – Rememberance Sunday Something that was mentioned at the AGM, was a charity ride. Having listened to many suggestions, all gratefully received, the Committee is pleased to announce the ride, in aid of The Royal British Legion, will be on Sunday 14th November, Remembrance Sunday. Ride start time will be 9.30 at Bulphan or whatever has been agreed with your ride group(s), with a cafe stop at Youngs Cafe, St Mary’s Lane. The idea is to meet at 10.50, for a 2 minute silence at 11.00. Riders can then stay for tea and chat or carry on for a longer ride. REGENTS CANAL RIDE SATURDAY 21 8 2021 – O8.40 GRAYS STATION

Dear All. I’m planning the above ride this Saturday 21st August 2021. Meet at Grays station 08.40, to catch the 09.00, platform 1, train to West Ham, arrive 09.28. (There’s a partial bus service this Saturday…) Briefly, off at West Ham, down Limehouse Cut to pick up the Regents Canal and on to Primrose Hill for coffee and snacks. On to Little Venice, Paddington, The Royal parks and the Embankment. From here a choice to ride homeward via either the north or south bank of the Thames. The canal path can get a little busy with walkers but we usually get through ok, it’s a slow pleasant ride then speed up later. Note.
