Hot☀ Hot☀ Hot☀ Gateway Sunday Writtle Ride

I wrote a road by road and elegant description of the ride today. Unfortunately without saving it I pressed the wrong button and it disappeared into the ether.

Here is a much shortened version:

3 of us at Bulphan. Chatted with Recreation group. Went out via Doesgate Lane and Dunton but not past the boot fair main entrance. Went down Botney Hill, up Hatches Farm Road and onto Tye Common Road. Mountnessing, Old Church Lane, Thoby Lane and Wyatt’s Green. Stondon Massey – turned right at Bricklayers Arms and onto Nine Ashes Road. At the end a right and left and a further left onto Willingale Road which had horses with lady riders (care taken). Sharp corner at bottom of the hill (more care taken). Going up the rise into Radley Green two other cyclists decided to stop. One at the side of the road, the other in the middle to see what his companion was doing. Navigated successfully. Newney Green, Cow Watering Lane, Lordship Road and Tea Rooms.

Food and drink and chat.

Back towards Blackmore and onto the Viper. Highwood, Fryerning and Mountnessing. Stock Lane, Buttsbury, Tye Common Road, Rectory Road, Dunton Road and back to Bulphan.

Chat, sit and sweat.
