Hell of the Ashdown Challenge

Hell of the AshdownThe Hell of the Ashdown sportive is taking place on Sunday 24th February 2013.

Distance is 100k and the ride starts from Biggin Hill in Kent and winds it’s way around the picturesque Kent countryside taking in eight climbs of varying length’s and gradients.

1. Cudham Test Hill 1 in 4.

2. Toys Hill a  2 mile grind.

3. Up to Mark Beech.

4. Forest Row to Ashdown Forest Heights a  2 mile grind.

5. The Wall  an  infamous 2.5 mile grind.

6. Nouvelle Col de Groombridge.

7. Bayleys Hill  you guessed it  2.5 miles up!

8. Star Hill  the sting in the tail.

Don’t let all that climbing put you off , as we all know what goes up must come down, and there are some fantastic descents.

This is a really well organized event and one of the “must do’s” of the season.

Entry fee is £30 and the website opens MIDNIGHT 27TH OCTOBER this event sells out really fast so don’t leave entering too late.
