Gateway Recreation Ride: London Riverbank

Meeting place outside Barking Station at 10:00am Saturday 14th May 2016.

We will ride over to the Woolwich Ferry and cross over to the south bank.

The ride will be on cycle paths and quiet roads. We will have a stop for refreshments at the O2 arena before heading through Greenwich and Rotherhithe Park up to Tower Bridge, Dismounting we will walk across and over to the north side of the Thames. From there we will ride back to Barking via Beckton.

The total distance is around 30 miles at a pace of 8-10 mph. The ride is especially suitable for those with hybrids and mtbs.

Please ensure that your bike is in good working order and that you come along with a cycle helmet. Please bring along a pump, puncture kit and a spare inner tube. It is also recommended that you also have a drink and a mobile phone with you. If you are not a club member please inform the Ride Leader of an emergency contact.
