Gateway Winter TT

Event Date: 4 Apr 2015 - 09:15
Location: Bulphan Village Hall, Church Road, Bulphan

Details:

The start and finish will be outside Bulphan village hall (between the church and the A128). Sign-on will be 9.15am and we will start at 09:30am.

Just like the summer TT we would like to encourage all riders to take part, remember that it is not a contest between riders, but a chance to see how you can improve your own performance and to give yourself a little test during the winter months.

The course is slightly longer than the summer TT at 9.57 miles, but it is lovely and flat for the last 2 miles! The aim of this series is to improve on your best time; you are not racing against other riders.

You can ride whatever bike you like so long as it’s roadworthy and in a safe condition, all types are welcome (MTB, folder, hybrid, shopper, penny farthing, or even a road bike!). This is a small, friendly event and all riders are welcome to come and get a recorded time.

As before we would welcome riders that are not members of Gateway Cycling Club to take part, so long as you are not a member of, or affiliated to, any other cycling club.

There is no entry fee, just turn up and ride.

Riders should be aware that this event takes place on public roads, and that the law should be complied with at all times.

The slowest rider will start first, then the second slowest, and so on. This will make the end of the event more compact and get everyone off home at more or less the same time.

Slipstreaming is not allowed, if you manage to catch the rider in front of you, overtake them.

Helmets should be worn.

We look forward to seeing you at the start line.
