Bob’s Wednesday Ride with Cafe Stop
Here are some photos from Bobs Wednesday ride, taken on his video camera. It was a fairly punchy ride by everyone in the group, Dave, Peter Clarke, Ivan, Chris Milne and Frances. We set a creditable 20.5 mph average in sweltering heat, with everyone doing their bit on the front. Gateway CC meet at Orsett War Memorial Wednesdays 9.45am for a 10am depart. The club welcomes all abilities of cyclists, there is a ride for everyone during the week and at weekends. A ‘no drop ride’ means the group will set the speed based on the slowest rider. Summer TT series 2017
The Summer TT series has now started and will run every Wednesday evening through the summer. Sign on is at 6:45 with the first rider setting off at 7pm. Women’s Ride – 14 May 2017
Our second women’s ride will be out to Hyde Hall, which is a distance of approximately 37 miles, Bulphan to Bulphan. This will be a steady ride and no one will be left behind. There will be a cafe stop! Meet at Bulphan School car park at 8.45 for a 9.00am depart. Make sure your bike is roadworthy, bring along a pump and spare tubes, a drink and energy bars/gels and some cash for coffee/tea/cake. Please wear a helmet. Any questions, just ask.
