The weather forecast was for warm sunny periods with perhaps a shower later on.

As we 6 assembled it became clear that the rain would come earlier than expected.
Apart from myself there was Bob D,Paul P, BJ, Vic and Hannah.

It started raining as we headed towards Orsett the sky being lit up by the occasional flash of lightening.

Undaunted we heading through Orsett and onto Horndon, then raced down South Hill and into Stanford.
By the time we time we got to the Nature Park it had stopped raining and the sun was coming out.

After coffee, cakes and toasted sandwiches had been consumed we headed through Linford and the hill up to West Tilbury, before returning to Grays via the back streets of Chadwell.

The distance was about 20 miles which we covered at a gentle pace.
We arrived back outside the Civic Hall in Blackshots in brilliant warm sunshine.

A very enjoyable ride with good company.
